PB Performing Corridor Study In Tennessee

Nashville, TN - PB has been selected by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) to conduct a feasibility study for multimodal corridor improvements between Bristol and Memphis.

The study, covering a 550-mile area, represents the first multimodal corridor planning project undertaken by TDOT and is intended to provide the framework for future multi-modal corridor planning analyses in Tennessee. The study's purpose is to develop multimodal solutions that address capacity, operation and management, safety and security, movement of freight, commuter patterns and economic access along the study corridor.

The study's final product will be a list of multimodal projects that can be considered by TDOT for the department's 10-year transportation improvement program.

The study will analyze conditions for three time horizons: five-year (2011), 10-year (2016), and to 2030.

PB is the prime consultant for the feasibility study, working directly with TDOT's long range planning division. Work is scheduled for completion in April 2008.
